Scheemy Raccoon
A bachelor thesis project about making games more accessible to hearing impaired players through visual aids, closed captions, and haptic feedback.
Project Overview
Scheemy Raccoon was my bachelor thesis in media technology. The project focused on making a game more accessible to hearing impaired players using visual aids, closed captions, and haptic feedback.
Players wear a haptic vest that conveys audio information through vibrations, allowing important sound-based cues to be experienced through touch.
My Role
I worked on accessibility design, game design, haptic feedback design, UX research, prototyping, and implementation.
